Default 1 Liter catch can, which PCV valve should I use ?

4.8 LS with TVS1900, 6.5 PSI boost.
Fabricated catch can from Liter aluminum water bottle, simple two port with screen in middle, and threaded cap for DRAIN.
.
Question: Should I use the modern 'fixed orifice' or the older spring loaded rattle style PCV valve ?
.
Why did factory change to the fixed orifice in 2004, after 40 years of the floating check valve PCV ?
Just because cheaper, or is there valid engine friendly reasons for the fixed orifice ?

A regular style PCV valve squeals like a belt with any PD blower setup I have done. Straight vacuum seems to work well.
