1/4 mile times with 408 & Radix?????
#1
Anyone with a 408 and M112 radix blower have any 1/4 mile times.
I recognize that the blower is too small, but lets say the 408 runs mid 12's as an example. If I put the radix on there and it runs 12 teens or even 11's then I would be very happy considering I already have the blower. Also, I can have the cam ground a little different to accomodate the blower considering that it can't efficiently move the air the 408 would want. Plus, I can always upgrade the blower later.
Current combo is:
SS Silverado (2004)
6.0 with GT2/3 cam
M112 blower with 2.75 pulley
JBA shorty headers
Corsa sport catback
Cold air intake setup
Circle D 2800 - Triple Disc
Toy Shop built 4L65-e

I think the 112 is your bottle neck. I would like to see a spacer on a radix 112 truck to see if it keeps the heat down thru a run.
you might have to go 2300...but put it on the 6.0L and see how it does.

Yes, but I would agree. I think it is commonly accepted that a 6.0 is about the biggest engine that the M112 should be put on, but I'm not trying to optimize this combo either at this point (always could do that later). This is my daily driver and I'm pretty happy with it's current performance. If the 408 adds a 4 or 5 tenths, that would be money!
2300 would kick *** though
That is hard to say. It has gone 13.10 at 103 with the original tune up. That tune was pulling a ton of timing due to a fueling problem with the truck. I've seen 10-11 degrees at WOT on some passes.
I've since fixed the fueling concern and have added a lot of timing. The truck feels completely different! Also, I just put a built trans and 2800 stall converter in it. I'm going to get it to the track this fall and see, but I expect it will run 12.50-12.80 based off my butt-o-meter. I also have some long tubes just waiting to go on and will probably have those one before this fall.

I know a guy locally that should be running a truck at tomorrow night's test n tune. It's a 408 with a mild cam, and a Whipple at 6 psi. The truck is a Sierra Denali AWD ECSB. I'll try to find out how it does.
