DIdn't know if this is the right place to post but if it is wrong, sorry. I am going to get either the tvs1900 or sts setup. Don't know which yet but if I did should I upgrade my transmission at all. I have a 6 speed. I was advised by someone with the following statement.
"anything more than a 70 hp bump in power will put a hurting on your trans in a short time if your going to keep putting your foot in it . a transgo kit and a hp torque converter will work for a while, but a HP build with hd steels and clutchs and a big trans cooler is going to be your best choice in the long run. and you will probably break your tie rods if you get into it off road ."

There is not much available in the aftermarket for the 6L90 yet.....and at the same time, there has not been much need. After the supercharger is installed depending on the right foot the trans will last forever. Kooner beats on his 2500 HD and has not hurt is 6L90-E yet.

FYI, thanks for lunch it was nice to meet you.

I was around 200 extra flywheel hp for a while with the 2.8" pulley on my TVS1900. The only thing I did to my 6L90E was a few tuning tweaks. It is a little bit sloppy in bone stock form but, is nice now. I have no worries about it.

I turned off torque management, dropped the shift times a very small amount(don't want to go to low from what I hear), and raised the shift pressures just a tad. I'll have to check but, I think that is pretty much all I have done besides raise the shift points a bit.

I have multiple passes logged where it shifts within 5-7rpm of the desired shift point. It's MUCH smoother now than it was with the stock tuning.

Only thing, when you flash a new tune into the TCM it takes the trans a few runs to figure things out.

Wish I had one in my TBSS.

I believe the H2's come with the 6L80 not the 90. As far as I know Transgo doesn't have anything for us yet. For the most part the the only options we have is carefull tuning and higher stalls. Thats about it so far. I'm sure there will be more in the future.
