You are kidding right?
Blown02Sierra, tell your friend to take his 50+ thousand dollar car back to the dealer and get it fixed. Dont just take it out and beat it until it starts working.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how Eaton and/or Ford would design a pulley or by-pass valve that would do that. The only way I see that happening would be electronically via the VCM.

This is the worst bit of info I have ever seen on the internet. FORD nor EATON would ever do somthing like this. Whomever told you that this is something FORD does is full of **** and could not explain the REAL reason behind the issue.

Hey I have not drove the dam thing. I'm just telling you exactly what they told me there car did not make boost under WOT, until after about 30 miles. Yes I know it sounds dumb as $hit, I just repeating exactly what are head Tech at dealership said. They thought the car was messed up at first, they could have been just been full of
.

Hey and plus I didn't say all Fords, I just SAID the GT 500.

I find it very odd, but not out of the question. It can be done by way of the bypass valve.
The Lightning uses a computer controlled solenoid to open the bypass valve under certain conditions. It is possible the same type of solenoid is used on the GT500. It would be plausible to use said solenoid to hold open the bypass valve until a desired break in period has passed.
