SyTy Homecoming
#1
Well, this is a one time deal.
A large amount of GMC Syclones / Typhoons from around North America will gather outside of Detroit MI this weekend.
Friday: a Meet/Greet at the hotel
Saturday: Drag racing at Milan Dragway / BBQ(cruise) at a local lot
Sunday: Awards
http://syty-homecoming.com/
What makes this gathering SO special is that several of the engineers from PAS Inc (Performance shop who built the SyTys & Turbo TransAms & Deloreans) will be attending, as well as several GM Execs. And also a handful of automotive magazines.
There will be several GM Promotional & GM Concept vehicles on hand.
I will provide albums of photos and videos as the weekend progresses.

You know what...I've had days where I've regreted selling my Typhoon but until now I've never truely felt guilty of selling it!!
I had been a pretty active memeber of syty.net for the longest time and now all of sudden I feel like a traitor!! Lol
That looks like it was a freaking blast!! I know of a Sy chassis down the block that needs and engine, and I have one...maybe I need another project! Lol
Looks like it was a blast!! How did you run and what was the fastest truck there?? Did "Ghetto-sled" show up with his 1400hp twin turbo V8??

well. my throttle cable was stretched, so with the pedal to the floor my linkage was only at 70% throttle. And my TV cable locked up, so my tranny didnt shift into 4th. I ended up running a 14.5 @ 84.
No, the ghetto sled didnt show. Several trucks were trailored. The RWD twin turbo V6 truck was there, but didnt run. The badnews (twin turbo 350) syclone was the fastest there. He ran between 10.2 and 10.8. (He's not used to driving it yet, the last owner ran 9.04 with it).
Then at the show, he took 2 guys for a blast up the street in it. (I got video of it).
It was a good time.
