I'll have to see what my schedule is like at the end of March. I would really like to go to Cecil to check it out and meet some of you guys. My family used to go to Island almost every weekend drag racing in the mid 80'S.

No problem.

I was thinking of going to Cecil as well...not to race, just to meet some of you "local guys". It is about a 2 - 2.5 hr ride for me I believe. Yea, gotta love Island Dragway, its like a hole in the wall. The good thing is you really do not have the traffic of the big dragways and can actually have a little fun! They do a good job on the Friday night street legal drags with the MPH certificates / stickers and allowing grudge matches. My only beef is that the imports are taking over everything and it just isn't my cup of tee. Oh, the track is also a half hour away from me so that is pretty convenient.

Next time you go there, look at the grandstands...back in 1992, I had an after high school job there and painted those puppies...don't think they have been painted since My other responsibilities on Race Days was to make sure all cars without numbers on them did not cross the bridge into the pits. Man, I was not a well liked kid.

We would love to have ya at one of our SS meets. There are usually a few non-SS trucks in our group and we have a blast! Dan (Fireman31) is usually our ring leader and organizes the meets although, I have been known to frequent Island on Friday nights solo after work. Love to just pop in and get a few quick runs in for tuning purposes and then get home before the wife knows!

I would love to come. Hopefully I can get my truck back on the road with all my new pieces. Keep me informed.
