That little line where they think the center of the storm is going? Yeah, directly between home and school.

I was supposed to move on Sunday, looks like I might be doing it Saturday after work, or Monday.

How did everyone make out? I worked most of yesterday, through the night, and a good part of today. I can't tell you how many power outages we fixed, trees cut up, broken poles, etc. I'm home now, cleaned up, and drinking a few miller lites (not natty lites mangled!).

Our basement had a few inches of water, even with the sump pump running nonstop. Then water started getting in my garage so I had to go out around 11pm and dig a trench around the back and side to direct the water flow away. Oh yea, the power was out from around 4 to 12.

Fun stuff...

Never lost power here. Had water in the basement, but that was because the dehumidifier was running when the sump pump tried to kick on, and it tripped the breaker. After about 2 hours of running the main pump and the secondary one, the smaller main one was able to keep up with the rain.

Driving around today there were tons of downed limbs/trees, and some evidence of some BAD flooding, but it receded quickly. The Delaware was HIGH though, and last night at about midnight there was a solid 6" of water flowing through most of the streets in my neighborhood. Water gushing UP out of a storm drain is definitely a sight to see.

Yup, saw that last night while I was working. We were restoring power to a street last night that had aerial lines, when a manhole cover blew off, and a geyser shot up!

everything is all fine here. It rained for a few days. Wind picked up Sunday morning around 4AM, but it was easy for us. Living on the back side of a mountain helps a little to break up any massive wind storms.

Nothing at all here where I'm at. Didn't lose power. Actually went to a hog roast right before it "hit", which was baisicly high wind and steady rain.

Thought we'd be fine since we hardly ever lose power in my neighborhood. Got a little too brave and had several beers (Bud Light here), and 6 JagerBombs then at about 11:15pm....

I have bigass cast iron sewage pump but with no electric, no pump...
I also have battery back up sump pump with deep cycle battery and thought it was good idea to bring home a 4D industrial 12 volt battery as well...

Back-Up pump couldn't keep up so me, wife and youngest son bailed the sump out from 11:30pm until 6:30am non-stop. Talk about wasting a good buzz.... I am so damn sore still today I can barely walk after sitting for a while and stiffening up...

Wound up with a buddy's generator at about 10:00am and that kept sump pump and fridge going all day yesterday. Finally got power back about 8:30-ish last night...

Horrible weekend for me, but we did what we set out to do, which was prevent the 6 month old finished basement from flooding AGAIN. It flooded a year ago and took me about 6 months to totally re-do it, so I just kept thinking of that while bailing out the stupid sump...

Note to self: MOVE to higher ground....

Hope you get taken care of soon John. My BGE buddy said yesterday's directive was not to restore any power but to strictly take care of downed lines. If the downed line repairs got someone's power back on, that was a bonus, but they didn't really even start trying to restore power until today sometime.
