Dan, WTF are you thinking now? If you buy a new truck with a new motor, keep it and start over with fresh bearings, rings and gaskets!

IMHO, you should pull your Whipple and other performance parts off your truck and trade it in as close to stock as you can make it. Then, start fresh.

IF i get a new truck, i'm gonna pull as much **** off my truck to make it as close to stock as possible. Also, I'm gonna see if the dealer will work with me to swap some of the stuff from my truck to the new one, like the wheels/tires, door handles, and maybe exhaust. I'll sell the brand spanking new 6.0L for way more than I can sell my current 6.0L.

I'll sell the efans, headlamps, grill, cd player

This is probably not going to happen. Most likely i'll keep my truck and put the 408 in that. Oh, I ordered the 408 today by the way. Probably gonna be at least 6 weeks, ET heads are on short supply.

I'm not even sure if tuning is available for 06 pcm's yet, or if the headers/exhaust will fit, or if there are fuel issues(returnless fuel lines?), and some other questions. I'm going to look at a silverado in the morning. we'll see.

Coolness. Congrats on your new 408!

Spoke to Don yesterday about tuning my '06. He said something about VIN#'s and waiting until January for custom tuning...either way I'm waiting for 1,000 miles before doing it so the timing should work out.

So, you're going to mount the Whipple on that 408? That'll be sick!

Yup, the whipple will stay, for now. I might as well. selling it will probably net me a whopping $1200 if i'm lucky. The ultimate plan is to add a procharger in the future. I'm not sure about getting into an 06. I have a feeling they are only gonna offer me like $17000 for mine. I need to get at least $20,000 without all the mods.

FWIW, I think your used Whipple is worth much more than $1200!

the 6.0L is still for sale. It will be a longblock with 65Kmiles. I would strongly suggest you go through it and make sure the pistons, rings, rods are all still good. I put the blower on the truck at about 15K miles. $1500 takes it. Prefer local sale, MA, NH, ME, CT etc.
