Sierra RST Stock 4.8L Turbo: 617HP/623TQ

BADASS! In a 4.8? Even better. So that LS6 cam is prolly really helping the situation.
Sidenote: That shop needs to strap the front of the vehicles down better... too much movement. I like to go to the suspension or frame and chock the front tires.

What are your mods to support these #s? I see in the vid engine wise other then the turbo kit you just have the LS6 cam and springs. If so thats INCREDIBLY impressive. Im curious cause if you can make that power without completely replacing everything then that will save me much time and money down the road.

Thanks guys, yeah I was expecting to be near 600hp, so I was real happy to see it on paper. Only difference from the first pull and the second is a little more boost. It was right at 15, never made it to 16. However, I gave it a good turn and didnt get much more boost so I'd guess boost was nearly maxed out. I also was running a couple degree's less timing on these pulls then I was the night before on the street tuning, but I wanted to know it would hold together before I took it to the dyno. I played it safe once on the rollers, atleast as far as timing goes. It was over 100 degree's inside the shop, damn South Carolina.
Black00Chev: thats pretty much my setup for power adders. Turbo kit, used ls6 cam and valve springs. Then added the fuel setup and HPtuners.
I turned the boost down today to around 13psi. It isn't the same as 15 feels, but puts a little less stress on her during these crazy summer months.
Skolman91, I wanted to do one more pull and give the boost controller another full turn, but the dyno owner wanted me to do it back to back. I requested a 5 minute cool down and he said he had to many cars to run, not enough day light. I hit my goal though and just called it done. A few steaks and beers later, my Saturday went pretty well.

Thats good to know thats pretty much all the internal mods. Makes feel a little more comfortable knowing if i go FI soon that i should be safe if i keep boost fairly low. I know they tranny and rear end are a whole other story though haha.
Great job on getting your goal! Wonder how much a 5.3 block can handle, im sure the same.

See, I don't understand how these people get away with these huge events. Why not take in half the cars in a day, and give people a little more time to play around with different setups, cool downs etc.
Same with Those tuners who have 150 people to tune in a two day period. Works out to like 30 minutes per person. I'm no genius but ben has logged 3 hrs in my Tune so far and there are still tweaks to be made.
I like getting my moneys worth out of people.
Very nice numbers. My cousin had the exact same truck a few years back and sold it because it had he "small v8". Wish he knew they were such solid motors back then.

I dont think Rob was rushed and he would probably say the same but I could be wrong. The staff was just telling the truth and wanted to make sure other potential customers got a chance to get on the dyno and see there numbers too while having a good time also.
What I would love to see is some shops to start enclosing their shops and putting A/C in the shop while using exhaust vents to keep the fumes down. That would also allow a lot more consistent numbers and tuning.

Thems some good numbers!!
