Default LQ4 TT gt35's. 644rwhp/ 623rwtq

I decided to build a TT setup for my truck, the goal was to do it cheaply but with a quality stainless hotside (I fabricate, so it was just labor-intensive on my end).
Specs
05 RCSB Silverado
Gen3 LQ4: stock bottom end and heads. Ring gap .030 ish.
4l80e w/ 3000 Circle D budget converter
Sloppy stage 2 cam (Elgin 1840-P, 228/230 .585/.585)
Deka 80's
Precision Turbo 39mm gates (running on the gate only, no boost creep and 9.5lbs of boost. 168Kpa here in Denver)

That's it, stock intake and tb, just two turbos and a cam on a stock LQ4. Dynoed at over 5200 feet of elevation. The first pull was a safety check for AFR (10.9 att) and to get a rough estimate of power. I pulled some fuel out of the VE table and at 11.3 and 14* it made something like 505hp. I didn't see any knock retard on my scanner so i put in 2* up top and smoothed the low boost sections as well. The end result 536hp/514tq on $140 turbos. I will be taking it back next week to make pulls with 15lb springs in the wastegates. I wish I had conclusive evidence to back the claim that every 1000 feet of elevation rob 3% from power production but that is just what I've read. Assuming that is factual, I wouldn't be surprised if I had made around 600 at sea level.

Thumbs up

Nice and simple! Bet it's pretty fun now and 15psi will be silly. What exhaust housings are on the GT35's? How is spool?

I want to see more TT builds as I'll be starting mine here hopefully soon, just keep collecting parts.

A.U.C,
I agree everyone does single turbo builds. Not that that's bad, but because I fabricate for fun, I wanted to see if I could build a TT kit that utilized full-length exhaust on the cheap. I still used 304 SS after the turbo but I cut and welded some stock truck manifolds to mount the turbos. As you can see on the graph, the turbos begin to spool at 2500 and reach full boost at 5000, it's an effective setup and I'm proud of the little knock off Garretts. $140 apiece well spent. I think the most difficult part was the oil drains, I wanted them in the timing cover, but getting them routed around the balancer was a pain in the ***. Not to mention oil-soaked aluminum is not easy to weld, lol

How much do you have in the setup total? That's petty cool

Nice set up, makes good power for not lot of money. I have an LQ4 and FSP TT manifolds for my 72 Monte Carlo. Not set in stone, but most likely running a set of 799 heads I have, Gen 4 rods with flat tops, TBSS intake, Summit Stg 2 turbo cam (226/230 .600") Not sure what size turbos to run yet... doing research in the meantime. My car is lighter than these trucks by at least 500lbs + will be running a TH400 with a transbrake. Trying to go single digits with this heap.
