Foose + little Nitrous...730HP/747TQ

its amazing how strong these 4.8's are. taking a 275hp engine and making 3 times that much w/ stock bottom end. would love to see a forged bottom end 4.8 w/ even higher boost than Rob's running.

i dont pay much attention to the FI world because i'm a cheapass but i think right around 20psi+ is where people start running into problems of pushing the heads on these motors. can someone confirm?

true, but my favorite part about your truck is how budget friendly it is in comparison to the power you're making...a lq4 would be an awesome budget motor to gain some big power. once you get into the lq9,ls2,ls3,l92 etc etc the BUDGETNESS can go out the window pretty quick.

Foose, huge props to you! you are paving the way for 4.8s! you have a pure awesome setup!

Theres no rod options without doing something custom. You could go up to a 3.9 bore and 4.8 crank, but what rod? Good set of thick deck heads and let the fun begin.
Then there's the nice light l33 setups. Bump that to a 370 and have a light weight setup. To many options!

there are rods that are close, i wonder if its cheaper to move the pin in the piston. aes has a forged short block setup i think also.
Rob awesome numbers though! you are the inspiration for many 4.8 guys. this may be a stupid question but your 11's afr is that scaled for e85 or actually what the wideband shows.
