I understand the compounding effects of nitrous on turbo apps due to the combustion of the increased oxygen content causing a higher exhaust volume thus more energy to spin the turbo. 150-200% increase I can easily understand as evident in Kyle's results but Rob's 300% really intrigues me. I am just curious if any timing or fuel changes may have played a part.

I was thinking the same, that's a outstanding gain from those bitty pills! Not everyone running boost is as lucky to see that large of a gain... even on a 75 wet, let alone 35 dry.

Well it did raise his boost a little bit. 2psi plus a 35 shot could yield those increases.

Great power out of 4.8. So 21psi should put you at 800+.

Chris, any day of the week bud! I had a 50 pill in my glove box, but I felt that she had enough for one sunny Tuesday.

As for the tune, I honestly had to take out a ton of fuel on the dyno. It just doesn't load the truck the same. I really won't be able to use the PE tune for anything other then dyno time. As it's using almost 10% less fuel then my street/track tune. I did however make some VE chnges that removed some humps in my a/f's, so that was a plus.

The difference between 16psi and 21psi is huge. That was my main goal for going, see where the HP gains stop coming in as boost goes up. Then at that point, see how nitrous works or doesn't work if your putting it on a setup with high back pressure.

Timing got a bump from 15.5 degrees to 16.5 when I accepted 16psi was the most id see. I run 15.5 degrees at 21psi, so I know there was a lot left at 16psi, but I wasn't there to make max power at 16 anyways. Timing stayed the same on the shot. I didn't add any fuel for the dry shot, as every pull I was still removing fuel trying to get it in the low 11's. On the 35 shot, it came on at 3800 rpms and cleaned my airfuels up to a nice 11.5 and bumped boost 1.5-2psi.

true, but my favorite part about your truck is how budget friendly it is in comparison to the power you're making...a lq4 would be an awesome budget motor to gain some big power. once you get into the lq9,ls2,ls3,l92 etc etc the budgetness can go out the window pretty quick.
