yeah but at the power level we are at it is more of how the tc are rated at.

what i think my problem is , the converter sees about 400 lb ft of torque on the stall with very small amount of booost ( 1 psi on launch at 3k rpms) and then at 5500 rpms im making 2x that much if not more. then i hit it with the nitrous ( a lil 125 shot) and the converter just flash's higher i remember looking at my tach throught the 11.4 run and i was at 6k or higher from almost all of second and 3rd gear.

the one thing scaring me about the precison converter is that for some odd reason i broke 2 input hubs on them before for some reason , what it was i have no clue but it could have been the pump it self a bent flywheel from grenading my motor but when i changed to the tcs and a new flywheel the probelm was gone. so i may try my luck with the pi.

Thanks Krambo!

I did some logging yesterday and it does look like the larger heat exchanger is helping keep IAT's down. With the standard XR I would normally be at 30* over ambient and temps would climb say from 115* - 140* Now, after making a cool run in 75* weather the IAT's went from 99-110* A few more runs after stop and go traffic and temps went as high as 120* still significantly better.

more to come.

I am curious to see what all needed to be freshened on you tranny, I know you have put some miles on it and made a lot of track passes... Seems like your the one really pushing the limits of the tranny, just wondering what all they did to it when you sent it back.

Are you going to be making any passes without the nitrous this year?

New parts including upgraded bands and hardened shafts.

I will, yes, this fall, it's just too hot by mid day here right now for me.

I have a few things to work out before I hit the track but yesterdays pulls felt pretty good (boost only), I made a couple 4wd launches and a few 3-2 wot runs logging no KR.

I know what you mean about the heat. I can't wait for it to be in the 30's to 40's here to go to the track.

Right now it's 60's here at night and high 70's to low 80's during the day. I like to go racing when you're wondering if it's going to snow that day. Traction can be tough, but power is good.
