From what ive read, Stock gears are stronger than Aftermarket.
And the higher ratio the stronger they are. (3.42s are stronger than 4.10s) Altho they do put a harder load on your trans, but you have a 80E for a reason right?

I like my 80E/3.42/29" tire combo.. 1650rpms @ 55 and 2100@70mph.

With my lil LQ4 and 60mm STS, I see no vacuum at 2250-2300 and full 5psi @2800rpms.. I couldnt imagine takin off at 4k..

Text me bout them gears.

Your not saying it's gonna stay the same just move further up are you?

I'm ok with shifting the power band up as long as it also extends it too. I kinda like the way it drives and the way the boost comes in. As long as the bigger A/R does in fact widen the power curve.

Try the 3.23s if you've already got them.

60mph is just 1500 RPM and 80mph=2000RPM in my 60E/3.23/30.5" truck. I'm consistantly getting well over 20mpg highway (usually closer to 22) in my stock 5.3L truck.

I could see very low 12s at around 120mph from your truck if you could get it to hook up at all.

When on the street, what RPM do you shift?

IDK about after my swap (cant figure out the cruise control with the DBW setup) But with 3.23 my 4.3 was getting 22+ everywhere.

Well my mpg's will go up but that's not really an issue really, I mean it's a bonus but it's not why I'm doing this. With my old 3.23's and 60e and 5.3 I was seeing 20's mpg as well but I know I won't be seeing that now.
