I just saw "la tombstones" dyno numbers of 400rwhp and 376rwtq, anyone else trucks out there running a 5.3 N/A setup with those kinds of numbers??
I think closetredneck is close to that in his 5.3 but not sure on his exact numbers.

I was close to 340hp NA without exhaust setup and a different cam. Different dyno's read different.....they are only a tool used for tuning and comparing mods.

That being said, everyone likes high numbers.

 

not wanting to start anything just wondering why does it matter if anyone else is doing it.

 

the best i got with full bolt ons with stock heads and intake was 362hp and I don't remember the torque. It just depends on the set-up and CR. He is probably at 10.0:1 with worked heads and a great tune.

 

I think its to see what setups(cams, heads, etc) make for HP ???

 

to see how common it is to get 400rwhp out of a 5.3! and to see who else might have done it.

it's not very common. The common hp range a high horsepower 5.3 is 350-370 range and the 370 is the elite you might say lol.
even still dyno numbers are not everything. In the end high numbers could go a decent bit slower than lower numbers.
