I know, but I'm perfectly happy with my clutch fan. Plus, I only have a 105 amp alt. The cost for me to upgrade to E-fans, between the new alt, harness, and the fans themselves really isn't worth it to me.

105 amp will be fine for electric fans unless your running some kind of high power stereo system or extra lights.

Mine is 1 piece steel. They can balance aluminum and 2 pieces also. There is a driveshaft shop about 15 minutes from the house that balanced mine when I had them swap yokes. I think it was around 20-25 bucks.

Next round of mods is AAM 4.10 gears, detroit trutrac, Vinci cam, trailblazer stall, shift kit and tranny cooler.

I'm getting a magnaflow muffler welded in place of the stock one today, so that should help a little. I also haven't decided what to do about the stock air intake. I may just replace the tube.

As far as longtubes I don't know because I don't know how they effect emissions.

theres really no point in doing any of this until you have some headers, and exhaust on your truck. the gears and converter will help with seat of the pants, so i say go for those. but a good exhaust, intake, and tune should be the first on any mod list. also, a ported TB adds a little power, and crisper throttle response.

btw, i have electric fans, electric water pump, two amps, etc. all on a 105 amp alternator. still charges 14 volts at idle, with lights and ac and stereo on.

Maybe my alt is going bad slowly, it only holds about 13.8 volts.

I guess I'll look into headers and how that will effect emissions

Elec. Fans are worth 11WHP on a 02 5.3 60e, as I changed mine out on the Dyno, with runs before and after, stock tune with Borla Catback at the time.
For what its worth.
I was unaware of the Driveshaft issues on the Dyno, My truck saw prob. 500+ pulls in a 2yr period.

Good info. If I can find OEM 34" radiator and fans for a reasonable price I will consider swapping out my clutch fan. 11rwhp is a pretty significant gain just from e fans.
