looks like its time for a replacement.187,000 miles on it. still shifting pretty good, but its leaking like a pig. Has a hairline crack in the tailshaft.

Could I replace just the tailshaft on this thing?? It appears that I can, just want to make sure before I tear it apart.

Yes you can replace just the Tail shaft housing if thats were the leak is. How ever it is most likely cracked for a reason. You may have a worn bushing or other internal damage that may have caused it to crack.

JB weld while ya get another one ready

Actually the best stuff ive used is the GM sealent, its grey, and works awesome!!!
