Default One scary lightning! MUST SEE

So we got a call from the Ford dealer the other day wanting us to look at a truck they had taken in trade. Aparently it was all fine untill they had to drive it around the lot then it stoped going up! What we found was beyond bad it was plain ugly.
Pass side spring hat ripped right from the frame. Thus crushing the brake line, popping the bag, kinking the airline. Glad it was just in the parking lot. Imagine going down the highway loosing control of the dteering then loosing brakes smashing into a gaurdrail. Sounds like fun.

The driversside isn't much beter. Notice the ABS wires.

Did they run out of steel or think it was not needed?

So here is a little more of the horror.
Bag mount on the LCA

What do you think out of the castle nuts that had cotter pins did they forget to bend them over or did they know it would be coming back apart?

Start of the repair work
Removing the lower bag plate was easy a light tap with the hammer and it fell right off

Control arm cleaned up.

Lower bag plate cut from 1/4" plate

Plate welded in

Frame starting to get cut out

Look at the big hole!

Frame remade and upper bag plate welded in

All painted purdy

All back together

Now to redo the notches, rewire it and rebuild the frame for the panhard bar.
