I have a 2004 Dodge Ram with 3.92 gears and I'm try to take out the differential. I've removed the axles and bearing caps. The differential will move in and out but won't come out completely. I've even used a slide hammer and it just wont come out. Is is there a trick to the removal?

 

there are (internal) side adjusters that preload the diff carrier bearings. that's probably what it's hanging up on,
