My brother has a 07 obs RCSB and hes has a set of 26's hes gonna be throwing on soon but he just got a pretty good deal on some spindles and hangers (he already has a set of shackles) so can it be done???? maybe some pics guys???

 

bust out the measuring tape buddie! 26"rims+tires=33-37ish tall tires. measure where it sits now (from ground to top of finder), then subtract the drop. there is other measurements u have to do. cant quite remember what and where.

 

How wide are they and what is the offset?

 

offset and width! i knew i forgot some. 26's prolley 10+ wide no less tho. all about the offset!

yes the 26's will work but you'll have to run a tiny *** tire. They make a 275/25/26 which is still a 31.4" tire. A 305/30/26 is still going to be 33.2" tall. I don't know nnbs trucks nearly as well as I know nbs. The 275/25/26 will most likely work however that is a tiny *** tire and I would hate to daily drive it.

I'd be willing to be the 305/30/26 would rub too. I know for a fact it would in a 99-06 truck.

 

oh...my bad. i thought they might want a just a tad bit thicker tires than rubber bands. screw it, tell him to bagg it

The wheels will need to be for the newer GMT900 platform since they require more offset. Unless the offset is in the 40+ range he wouldn't do any good by lowering it they would never tuck. I had 275/30/24s on my DD 1500 and it was 4-6, they were on billet wheels though and you would never get anything not custom to have enough offset to tuck a well as they did. Those tires weren't very bad to DD but I knew my roads very well. I have 305/40/22s on my wife's Yukon. Her truck is lowered 2-3 maybe closer to 3-4 and the wheels have a 30mm offset. They are 9.5 wide, they tuck nice so you would need something around 45mm offset and keep the tire diamter close to the same as my 305/40s and you will be golden. Though I think since he got such a smoking deal he should sell them and get some 24s and lower it more, the right 24 will look huge with enough drop

 

with the right offset you can run a 28 or 30 inch rim ... and you dont have to run no (tiny tire) my buddy lays frame on 26s with a step side...look for a 35-40 offset and they will tuck.. good luck
