Hey all, As you can guess, Im from LS1tech. Im tryn to troubleshoot a problem with my transfercase. Anytime I try to put it into 4wd, it'll indictate that its in Neutral and give the 'Service 4WD' warning. The truck stays in 2wd and doesn't act funny in normal driving conditions. On occasion, after starting the indicator light will show 4L and the truck shifts really weird. It will grab 3rd gear when only going like 30k and bog the motor down. Im quite lost when it comes to these computer controlled things so any tips or tricks will be greatly appreciated! Thanks In advance!

Sounds like a broken shift motor in the transfercase. Or a wire that is lose. You find thise motors on ebay. NP246 transfer motor.

 

my truck did that to me before it was a bad ground on the controller circuit
