Default What should this run?

2002 mustang gt auto
full intake (air filter to manifold)
150 wet shot
no cats
slowmasters
tune
nitto 555r drag radials
no aftermarket cams
no headers

Wants to race for $500 says he runs 11.9

This is all the mods I could see...I think he's full of about the 11.9

What do yall think this car should run...I think more like 12.9...downhill.

A bone stock automatic GT will probobly be in the high high 13's, thats a starting point With slicks and a 150 nitrous shot, maybe high 12's. I'd never spray 150 on a stock tranny/rear end with slicks on, but thats me.

edit- What do you run??

That fastest I've ran was a 13.8 spinning on a 100 shot (intake/tune/exhaust/5.3), but I am about to do a complete drive-train upgrade in a month or two. 6L, built tranny, boltons, ect...

A auto 2002 gt won't run high 13's. In perfect weather maybe. But your looking at a mid 14 sec car for any normal time.
150 shot i could see it dropping into some high 12's. You gotta remember a 100 shot on a car is goin to go faster than a 100 shot on a truck.
We= brick heavy wall.
With the minor things he is saying i could see a low-mid 12 sec pass out of the car.

It's probobly warmer down there, so 14's are probobly normal for auto GT's. It's cold up here, in these temps I've seen them run high 13.8's, 13.9's, with maybe a cat back and intake in the fall or spring. Either way I'd wait for your bolt on 6.0 swap and that 100 shot kit.

catback and intake is not the same as stock.
100% stock my buddies 03 or 04GT went 14.1 @97mph in 42 degree weather. 0%humdity. I mean the weather was so perfect you coudn't ask for more. They actually shut down the track about 10mins after he made the pass as it was too cold for high power cars to make it down the track safely.

Agreed. Either way they only add up to 10hp, but I still wouldn't race that guy (for money) if I were 99rado5.3 until he does his bolt on 6l/tranny swap with nitrous.
