Default Went to track with new setup....

I have it back on the street and it feels pretty good. New setup is, 6.0 lq9, custom Futral cam, and cleaned up the heads myself with a valve job and .020 off. It done ok first time out. Best of the night was a 12.78, 1.76 60' @ 104.xx. Although it was not as good as I expected there were some things against me. Had traction probs all night and kept hitting the 6600 rev limit on 2-3 shift. This is also on the 5.3 tune. I don't know if the tune will make a huge difference or not. The truck is very strong but not what I was hoping for. I will give it some time and of course will tune it in on the Dyno at FMS. I will not give up bc I know it has potential.

well its time to change your name to 12sec6.0 lol, nice times and they will get better with the tune im sure, and hitting the rev limiter kills about 3/10's of your time. good luck.

Not bad for a shackdown run. It should get faster as you work out the kinks.

Good job Todd. As fast as your 5.3 was with the mods you had I think you'll be low 12's high 11's before too long.

Those are great times on the 5.3 tune as far as I can tell. The 6.0 will have different volumetric efficiency, so with the proper tuning and some 6.0 VE tables you should feel even more gain.

You had better hurry up and get it tunned cause I will have something for ya real soon. Looks like the twins are both getting heart transplants around the same time. If you would, shoot me your cam specs in a PM if you dont want to post them here. I just ordered a F10 for mine after Allan said it would work very well with my setup. Just curious as to what he speced out for you.

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking it will get better with time. If not, I'm sure there's a blower for me somewhere.....
