Default Went to the track...a little slower.

I ran yesterday at full street weight with the heavy *** SS wheels on too, I also put the shifter in 2nd so in wouldnt shif to 3rd... and here is the slip:

60'.......2.171
330'.....6.326
1/8.....9.868
MPH....69.41
1000...12.923
1/4.....15.528
MPH....86.15

she felt like it had a little more in it, but that was the only run I got in, it started pouring rain right after my run, I think me and the STI were the last 2 cars to run..he ran a 13.5@104 with a 1.778 60' I dont think it was stock either.

my last time was with stock 16's, rear seat out, tailgate off, headlight out and shifting into 3rd a little after the 1000' mark:

2.083
.....
9.595
71
12.587
15.154
87.07

Hmmm... Just checking the obvious. You didn't START in '2' did you? Even though the trans will downshift to 1st, it takes time, which will eat into your ET's. :alien:

That, I did not know...

when are you taking your beast down there? or, if you dont want to drive that far, the 1/8 mile drags out at Evergreen on April 7th, Friday. And I will try to be there for them too.

the newer trucks have a 2nd gear take off. So if you are stopped and have the gear selecter in 2nd, it will take off in 2nd. When you put it to the floor it will downshift back to first, but like already said - it takes valueable time.

It was your 60' that really killed your ET. you had a bout 1 10th worse 60' which equals somewhere around 2 10ths in ET as you can see in your timeslips.

You're MPG was a tiny bit worse but that can vary from run to run on the same day and if it started raining then that means you had low pressure and high humidity so that is gonna hurt your HP some.

Dang, Travis, I wish I could answer that question. Right now I am fighting off the cold/sinus infection from hell, which I've had since mid Feb. (been to the dr. 3x now) Once I get over that and can actually work on my truck again there are a few things to do to make it strip-worthy:

1: Bolt down the canopy instead of relying on the clamps so it doesn't blow off.

2: New wheels with visible lug nuts so I don't have to race the truck en deshabille (the truck, not me ) Yeah I know it sounds weird, but we all have our hangups.

3: Get a good but cheap race helmet.

BTW about the transmission I may have been mistaken. Mine starts in second in the '2' range, but maybe earlier ones didn't. Anybody know? and if so what year was the change?

EDIT: Forgot, also have a corvette servo sitting on the dining room table (being single is so nice ) but I suppose it could wait until later.
