Default Went out to the 1/8 with kbracing!!

Went out the the local 1/8 mile and ran the truck with the new gear. I ran Kyle a few times and lost every single time. hahaha!! The first pass out I ran a 1.87 sixty foot and let out before the 1/8 and ran a 8.00 at 77mph. My afr started climbing to 13.01 so I got out of it. For some reason Nelson had me remove my boost refrence line from my regulator back when I got the tune. Kyle had me hook it back up and that brought my afr back down to 11.5. After that run my 60ft times and 1/8 mile times just went to crap. I ran a 8.02 then 8.2 and my last pass was a 8.4 at 88mp. We logged my last pass and from what I remember I was at 2 or 3 degrees of timing. Not sure what else was going on, I'll let kyle chime in on that. But I do know I'll be getting a new tune thru flaco pretty soon. Anyway here some vids!!

His temps where high which I'm sure was pulling all the timing. ECT was around 225* and IAT was 145-185*. Was only running 2-3* of timing through out the one run we logged. There was no KR though, Truck just has a lot of bugs to be worked out, but will be a runner when they are!

Damn that is some hot intake temps!!! I know the stock comp will pull 11 degrees timing at 122 IAT, so I can believe that it pulled him back that far....

Seems like Nelson kept your **** from blowing up. Would you have been happier melting a piston with 20 degrees, 180 IATS and 225 ect?

Seems like I would have melted a piston if the boost refrence line would have stayed disconnected....

There are easy explanations as to why your truck isn't performing.

First of all the afratio, if you have to hook up a boost/pressure reference line to keep your afratio in check, you really need to take a look at the fuel system. I would go into detail but if you're going elsewhere the new tuner can deal with it.

Next the timing, if you think I didn't tune your truck correctly because it was only getting 3degs of timing, then feel free to zero out the iat table and apply all the timing you want. Looks like you need to adress the cooling system and inlet air cooling system.

Sorry to hear your track night didn't go as Planned but with some corrections I'm sure youll get your truck running decent.

I could have explained in an email if you would have contacted me.

Why, because would you have stayed in the throttle?

Hooking up that reference line didn't do anything but increase fuel pressure and make your injectors seem like they are sufficient.
Whipple used to do the same thing.
