Hey guys, i'm new to posting but I have been reading up on everything for a few weeks on here. I plan on getting a reg. cab 2000-up chevy\gmc 1500 and to turn it into atleast a high 11 sec truck. I know to get one with at least the 4.8-5.3 v8 to make wiring easier. The question I have is what hooks up better at the track, short bed or long bed? I like the look of the short bed trucks, but I am finding alot of long bed trucks for cheap. Also is there a benefit to having either 00-02 or 03-up year of trucks?

i would just go short bed... with the power your going to be pushing tranction is going to be an issue regarless.... go short box for looks and less weight...
