Default Track times- tuning for MPH

Hey guys- I've been trying to tune the truck to get the best MPH at the track. I was making good progress until the other night where I got some confusing results. My PB is 11.2 @ 118. This is the 1st time I gained MPH while also losing ET. Previously I had been gaining ET and MPH each time out so I was making forward progress...

Right lane, 11.4 @ 119 MPH:

Left lane, 11.3 @ 117 MPH:

So somehow my ET was slower but MPH was up by 2. Looks like my 60' was to blame, but how did I run a higher MPH with a lesser ET?

I'm carb'd and jetted up by 2 and gained 2 MPH but somehow ended up having a slower ET according to the slips. I realize ET takes precedence, but from a tuning perspective where do I head now? I seemed to spin a lot more, so the only thing I can conclude is I have a new found traction issue from the power (MPH) increase (?).

Any inputs?

usually when you spin you gain a little mph, unless you spin crazy down half the track or something. when you hook up good, like your 1.6 60ft, your et willl drop, but your mph be as high as if you spun just enough to get your rpms up in the powerband.

get your traction back under control before making any more tune adjustments. always follow MPH, but your ET dropped because your 60' went to ****.

this.

dont judge the time until you get your 60' back under control. If you arent spinning and it simply seems like its not making the same power off the line then an adjustment should be made.

Thanks guys. I'll be keeping the hood closed for now to focus on dialing in the suspension.
