Default track times last night

I ran my truck at the track last night,

temperature : 48-53 degrees
gas: half a tank
including system in the backseat
tailgate down, passenger headlight out.

i made 4 passes last night, trying to improve on my launch, because im noticing my 60 foots arent impressive.

04 silverado, ecsb 5.3 aem cai, granatelli maf ( sucks ) jet tb spacer, jba wires, bosch plugs, granatelli diablo 93 tune, true dual exhaust, gutted cats, dual in dual out vx muffler

best pass: first pass
reaction: .2847
60 ft : 2.4202
330 : 6.6128
1/8 : 10.0897
1/8 : 71.13
1/4 : 15.4826
1/4 mph : 89.07

this one is strange

reaction : .2477
60 ft : 2.6009
330 ft : 6.7712
1/8 : 10.2152
1/8 : 71.82
1/4 : 15.5671
1/4 : 91.09

even stranger

reaction : .4563
60ft : 2.6615
330 ft : 6.8809
1/8 : 10.3507
1/8 : 71.35
1/4 : 15.7138
1/4 : 91.17

reason they seem strange to me, is even with bad reaction times, bad 60 foots, i seem to increase my trap speed, and not be too far off my best pass, i know she needs a tune really bad, and shes going to get a nelson tune as soon as i can get the money, what yall think about the times?

Might be spinning a little more off the line each time. If you spin a little your et's will be slower, but your trap speed will be higher. But only if don't spin most the way down track, my best time i spun 350-400ft down track and ended up with a 10 flat at over 73 mph. I spun so much that it hurt both my et and trap speed.

Reaction times have no effect on et. Better 60 ft times will improve et but not trap speed. Normally as 60 ft times get better your mph will drop.

Damn what gear ratio you running 3.23, your 60' should be close to 2.19, try stalling it to 800 to 1000 rpms with the stock converter to better your 60'

2.19?
he'd have to be in the 14's. i ran 14.65@94.65 w/ 2.21 60'
with open 3.42's, flowmaster, hypertech, airaid.
i thought they didn't come out with 3.23's until 05?

Get the factory OEM gears thru Randy's Ring & Pinion but in the "plain white box". 9 times out of 10 you will not even need the install kit, your existing shims will work! Just use a new pinion seal.
