to the OP you could just shave the caliper some to fit

as for sway that can be fixed with air pressure in some cases, running to low will cause alot of sway
That's exactly what I am thinking...just bevelling the corners on the stock calipers. Otherwise it's going to get really complicated. I wouldn't start with an Avalanche if I was building a full out race truck.

also you can have control arms built by SPohn to help offset rubbing of slicks

we did this with the trailblazers a long time ago. sent them a set of stock control arms and they made a set of control arms....now they are in production

Thanks for the correction. I was trying to be more descriptive than 'OBS' and had a brainfart. Edited above to avoid further misinformation.

I had to do the same with a set of Centerline 16" wheels due to the step on the hoop and the higher than normal backspacing of the wheel.

He's running the M&H nostalgia 16" slick.

Might be worthwhile to look into a stiff sidewall slick. The weight of a truck probably wrecks a normal slick.

After reviewing all the currently available tire sizes, I don't think there is anything suitable. Ideally, I would like a similar size tire on a wheel big enough to clear my brakes and allow dual beadlocks. Looks like the Nostalgias are still the best compromise.

dont have much to say for your tire/wheel situation, but you REALLY need some more shock control on the back! that bouncing is killing you!

Shocks went back to AFCO to be revalved over the winter. Should be able to get them a lot tighter now.

I am pretty new to the whole slick thing. Mine just showed up the other day. From what I have read a stiff sidewall or tube will help a heavy or hard hitting suspension vehicle. Would running a tube help him? I have been debating running a tube on my stiff sidewall slicks. I was sort of surprised at how soft the sidewalls were.
