That's exactly what I am thinking...just bevelling the corners on the stock calipers. Otherwise it's going to get really complicated. I wouldn't start with an Avalanche if I was building a full out race truck.

also you can have control arms built by SPohn to help offset rubbing of slicks
we did this with the trailblazers a long time ago. sent them a set of stock control arms and they made a set of control arms....now they are in production

I had to do the same with a set of Centerline 16" wheels due to the step on the hoop and the higher than normal backspacing of the wheel.

I am pretty new to the whole slick thing. Mine just showed up the other day. From what I have read a stiff sidewall or tube will help a heavy or hard hitting suspension vehicle. Would running a tube help him? I have been debating running a tube on my stiff sidewall slicks. I was sort of surprised at how soft the sidewalls were.
