Default Test n tune, 8.39

Was out at HMP tonight, really nice facility and all.

Got a total of 6 passes in. Full street trim and everything. 20s up front and race star 17s on the back with m&h 275/50 DRs.

I could not put power down until about half track. For 5 passes I tried every combo of big burnout, little burnout, brake boosting, launching off idle all with no traction.

Ran 8.39@90 off the street and saw my IATs were approaching 190 at the end (upper 120s at the start). Had 10 degrees in it due to IAT pull. I put 4 degrees back in it and wasn't able to get any better ET but ran a best of 94.7 mph.

By the last pass I realized I forgot to air the tires down and discount had them pumped up to 30psi. I aired them down to 15 psi for a final pass but they gave me the other persons ticket lol. All she said was that it was 100 something on the mph.

I've got logs of every run I'm going to review and KB suggested less boost off the line. I'm also going to keep my eye out and see what others do on these 17" raceline wheels. The MH tires run 27" coupled with 4.10 gears probably isn't helping but I'll defer to those much more knowledgable about drag racing.

Make a check list for next time lol. With a mph of 94.7 its got low 7's when you can hook. 6's if 100. Good start!

M an hs like higher psi, sounds like your suspension needs work.

I would just roll out then gently get on it, until you get that figured out.

If you have a gopro attach to bumper or hitch and see whats going on.

With iats at 190 you will be chasing your tail on getting a consistant tune and run, that needs to be addressed asap especially in houston heat.

Thanks for the good words guys. This just gives perspective on how impressive of times of lot of people are running on here. A lot of sweat and hard work (not to mention $$$) has gone into this thing and it still isn't anything near a lot of the trucks on here.

The last log indeed showed 94 mph at the end, so the supposed 100 mph was erroneous.

IAT sensor is right before the TB and was definitely heat soaked but even then I was gaining almost 70 degrees down the 1/8th, not good. Intercooler would likely be more effective behind the grill rather than down between the frame rails given it's not fully exposed to air down there. Ambient was 80F with 72% humidity.

Also, I just installed Bosch 127 lb injectors literally 2 days ago but they've been giving me some fits. I haven't had time to tinker with the tune but they are definitely dont have the driveability out of the box that the 1000cc injectors had.

Here's a video of one of the passes.
