was discussing this with beastmode tonight and been noticing that the near stock ride height trucks tend to 60' alot better then the lowerd trucks. so lets hear your ride height and your 60 times

currently im 3/4 and only have 3 fingers between the axle and my bump puck. best 60 last year was 1.74

curious to see if maybe some of us should C notch our frames or raise the trucks back up

It only makes sense really when you think about it. If it's lowered then you will hit bottom so to speak soon and thats all the weight you can trasfer. The if you take stock or almost stock vs a slammed truck it can squat alot more in the rear and allow for more front end pickup/transfer to the back.
Myself however have some horrid 60ft times as my truck hasn't been setup to pull anything good.
Maybe with the new setup who knows.

 

1.66 with hotchkis leafs, they lowered about 3 to 3.5 out back..

 

My truck with a 2/4, overload spring taken out, and cal-tracs went 1.55-1.59 on 28in et streets.

 

2'' rear drop & Caltracs went a best of 1.709s 60'

 

In my case being 4wd. Dropping the rear helped my 60'. Before a best of 1.8's after 1.64. With stock suspension the rear would load, front lift and break traction. With the nitrous I am considering suspension limiting straps on front. A 3/5 drop total.

 

1.87 on stock street tires and stock ride height. and a 2400 stall

 

Part of that is in how you lower it. I've found that there seems to be a bigger difference in if it's lowered with new springs or if it's just lowered with shackles. You're better off using lower springs to keep your spring rate consistant as well as driveline angle.

 

I'm dropped 5" in back... I've gotten it in the 1.9X's twice on street tires... but I can definitely feel it hitting the bump stops, I'll be C-notching it this winter...

 

N/A - my best last winter was 1.74 on 26 and on 27's but was having traction issues. This summer my best has been a 1.80 on 28's and no traction problems.
On spray w/28's there's already traction issues with 100 shot out of the hole cutting 1.66 60's and tucking the 28's. Truck is C-Notched, 6" flip kit + 2" shackles set at 1" drop and Air shocks out back and about 4.5 drop in front. My main problem is that since the truck is so low and even with air shocks it will still squat but brakes the tires when it unloads so fast. Tires are mounted on stock rims and would like to be able to use 10" wide rims but it will rub, so the only thing I just haven't gotten around to try is "Caltracs". I've seen one here with caltracs and a c-noth/flip kit but it looked like the 10" wheels were rubbing the fenders, it was squatting quite a bit running 11.7's on motor but it wasn't unloading fast and it was hooking really good.
