Ranchos are a really good budget shock. I run them. Also relocated them straight up behind rear which made a big difference.

Have any pictures? I was told that changing their angle wouldn't change anything and it was a waste of time.

installed them yesterday. no boots. at the track im starting at 1 and working my way up till 60ft. slows down.

Not sure who told you it didn't help. The efficiency of the shocks is dramatically improved when doing this mod. It's a very inexpensive thing to do if you can do it yourself.
