Default Raced a lightning last night

We went from 40-95mph 3 times. I don't know what he had. I do know it had a very loud exhaust, maybe catless. His supercharger whine was very, very loud, so I'm thinking he had a pulley. At the punch his boost would throw him about a bumper in front of me and I would slowly reel him in to where his front bumper was at my door and at the end of the run he would end up about a bumper in front of me and slowly pulling. I really wish I knew what he had done, so I could figure out what I might could run in the 1/4. I was pleased with the results. If only I would have had an LS6 intake....

Very loud exhaust does sound like catless...but with lightnings that are relatively close to stock (by this I mean under 500hp to the wheels) you could have full exhaust (ie headers, no cats, and catback) and still gain very little power. As for the blower whine, all it takes for loud blower whine is a CAI. But if your numbers to the wheels in your sig are up to date (~380hp) he probably had around the same power as you maybe a little more if he was pulling which would mean he probably did have a pulley which I would ballpark and say was probably a 4lb pulley (ie 4 pounds more than stock) to make that power. But on a few rare occasions some lightnings have put out around ~370-380 stock so who knows.

Guess you'll just have to run your truck at the track and see what you run.

Yeah, I could tell he had a shitload of torque. What do the lightnings usually put down as far as torque? Isn't it like 420+ stock?

rwtq is referring to rear wheel torque, meaning at the wheels.
