snell 2000 is good for 12 yrs as stated by jegs customer support i asked the law concerning nhra guidelines.. the snell 2005 rating is good till 2017 but the helmets are over 400.00 not worth it in my opinion unless you are seriously going 160+mph.. so i got the 145.00 simmons helmet with the snell 2000 rating..
