I cant decide on what I want to run. Im going with custom wheels in the near future. 15x10 6bs. I was looking at running
Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial Tire
P315/60R15 (30'' x 13.5'' - 15'')
I run a 28" slick on stock wheels now this tire is right at 30" tall. I have stock 342 rear gears. Would the 2" difference make a damn?

I think that tire is gonna slow you down alot. If you have suspension to hook I wouldn't go that wide I would go 275/60 or 29x9/10 full slick stiff sidewall. I just bought sone 29x9x15 full slicks on 15x8 that sit flush. I would only run the amount of tire that you need to hook.

I would stick to a 28" tire. Probably won't hurt you a lot but you can get all the traction you will need from a 28" and not hurt your self at all.
I would reccomend sticking with a bias tire. A radial will not hook as well especialy on a truck. I can almost promis you that you will be disapointed if you go with a radial.

You have 90/10 and 50/50's with cal tracs? If you want to stay 28" I would go 295/55 or 275/60! I have both and they dead hook on our cars. But you might want to look into the Hoosier 275/60 radials. I herd they were beasts!

Just got off the phone with Rich bogart.. like everyone says cool guy to talk to. Basically what it boils down to with my rear disk brakes even with ground to crap calipers in the street/strip wheel 16's is as small as I can run which kills tire selection. I did find a 315 m&h drag radial that would work. So its looking like 16x9.5 eliminators

I run these Bias Ply on my Vette with 1.47 sixtys.
The radials are a little tricky to launch but I have gotten 1.57 sixtys from them.
