Took the truck out for the last night of the season at New England Dragway. It ran AWESOME!!!
I ran 2 11.43's at over 118 MPH!!! This TVS 1900 is just flat out gettin it done.
My first race was against a Dakota 5.9 RT he had bored .030 over with a 4" stroke (408ci) and a 150 shot.

and the personal best with a locked converter. I locked it at 105 MPH. Not a whole heck of a lot of gain there. You can see it was slower through the 1/8 and even the 1000 foot mark, so it definitely had its benefit. I just am not sure its worth it on a street driven truck.

and not that it means anything... but I get a kick out of this.

With a few VERY small tweaks I would have had 11.3's but I just ran out of time. I should have tightened the limit straps more etc... but it is what it is. I spun slightly off the line even with the drag radials.

It's a very small amount of spin... But it is there. I'm not sure it has that much of a negative effect on me. Maybe I could sneak a couple hundredths out of the 60' still? I don't know. Not something I feel like I could count on, but running it enough times anything is possible.
I took my rear seats out, but not the passenger seat. That thing has to be kind of heavy in my truck. I just am not sure what point striping the interior I will start to feel that it's not as fun. I think I just need more power.

I could swap to a cam that's 'better' but I don't know... Is that really worth it? I feel like at this point if I'm making changes they may be big ones. Like I'm not sure the money spent for a cam with this current package is money well spent. I LOVE the Maggie... And I can't see myself going any other route, and the 2300 does seem that much more capable. We'll see.
I guess it leads me to a few questions. Is it a 1900 running 10's or just a Maggie crew cab running 10's that is impressive? Will a 10.99 really feel that much faster than my 11.43? Is it worth what it could potentially cost to get there?? I just don't know.
