I towed my bike to the track today with my truck and had no intentions of running the truck. But as the day went on, I couldn't resist making a pass so I unhooked the trailer and went to the staging lanes.
I was running on the 255/70-16 Firestone Indy 500's and on my street (rich) tune. I did a minimal burnout then rolled to the line. I was up against a nice looking 5.0 Stang with slicks so I figured he was gonna rip me a new one on the launch so on the 2nd yellow I eased off the brake and rolled into the throttle a little. I cut a 2.09 60ft and went on to run a 7.94 at 94.44 mph. I think 8.00 or 8.01 was my previous best on the radials so I was pretty happy. Now I kinda wish I woulda took the sticky tires and layed down some good numbers. It usually runs 7.5x with the ET Streets, I bet I coulda got into the 7.40's today.
Oh yeah.....I stomped the Stang, can't remember for sure, but he ran a 9.xx
