Default New best

Well I went to the track last night and I ran a 15.0 at 89.45. I had the fastest N/A truck out there and there were a few other hemis 3 titans a few chevys and like 6 lightnings but they were all faster than me. I have a posi, superchips, CAI and a Weld in muffler. I am very pleased with this time as I am also running at 2200ft so my translated time according to the nhra correction tables is 14.6 at 91.85 with no weight reduction. Not too bad I don't think. Just felt like sharing. Oh yeah, jeff 5.3 (I think is his name here) went 15.0 as well. His time was 9 one hundreths slower than mine but he is still on the shitty g80 posi so when he gets a good one he will lose a few tenths I think and he is also extended cab while I am regular cab. Him and I SHOULD be in the 14 second truck club but we are not as fortunate as alot of you to have a track at a lower elevation.

Not bad! I have two 1/4 mile tracks nearby that are 12ft and 36ft above sealevel respectively. I used to love running my fbodys in negative density altitude.

I was incorrect with the track elevation it's actually 100 feet lower than I thought so my corrected time is actually 14.71. Still 14's though so it's cool. I just wanted to correct that.

How many miles do you have on your truck goat? What is your best time without the slicks?

It depends on what track. At local 1/4 mile my last run there Dec. 2005, I had a 15.00 et ,No Density Altitude Correction. Earlier in year I ran 14.94-98
un corrected.

November 2004 at Houston , I was totally stock, ran 14.69-72s. In 2005, went to Toyo ST-1s. Very end of 2005 sometimes with M&Hs.

At Denton, Abliene, Greenfield, Tex, this past fall(Sept-2006) I ran from 9.30s up. !/8 mile most of 2006.

This past Novenber I went to San Antone, Tx and ran 1/4, couple 14.30s-altitude of app 600ft. That was on a wednesday.

That friday and Sunday I ran at Sealy, Tex. Best times were on Sunday, best is what I have in my sig. 14.22-1/4, 9.00 in 1/8th.

I have close to 800 runs at strip, with 56,000 miles on truck. It is hard to remember when I changed over to different ways of running.

I have done 2.11 60ft times and a bunch of runs under 2.18 60,ft. Using
DAC, I have runs in 13.84 up.

I raced most of 2006 at another(new) local 1/8th mile track. Track is at 2900ft. Best there with no DAC, is 9.40s.

This kinda rambles, sorry,. The DR's are slower than slicks, with slicks , you must have a safety loop, which I have, just not installed.

Hope this helps, if I can help, just ask.

I have just over 6,000 miles so i'm hoping maybe my truck will get faster as it breaks in. Maybe not, who knows.
