For my,basically stock set-up... Avoid the water as much as possible
Do a brief burnout to dry/clean/heat
Brake-rev a little
Nail it on the last yellow
I manually shifted at 5,700

WhiteChevy3 posted a good link for launching a truck. Some people may suggest removing your tailgate, spare tire, etc. for weight savings. Don't do this. Go to the track with full weight. I went to the track one time and had no traction with my tailgate removed. The best I ran in the 1/8 mile that night was a 10.2...with only my Corsa catback. I came back the next night WITH my tailgate and had much better traction. The best I ran that night was 9.85 @ 73 MPH. Post your times when you come back from the track. I'm interested in what your truck runs with the mods you have.
