I would keep the stall speed below 3K rpm.

3000 stall. Maybe a 3200. Especially for attacking the 60 ft.

I wouldn't go that high with the lowend that he should be making. But thats my opinion.

With your axle ratio & tire height, and presumably a stock cam with only 8 psi, you're going to need more converter than a 2600-2800. Trust me on this.
