Default This is kinda embarrassing

My times in my truck. The mods on the 4.8L Live Nelson performance Tune, CAI, 80mm BBK tb, LT's, No cats, 3'' exhaust with Magnaflow straight threw muffler. Heavy *** 22's (I know not helping) and the open diff and 3.23's. Truck Dynoed at 280 hp and 270 tq

My best time at the track was 16.5. I am wondering what kinda improvmenets I will see with my mods that are going in. Cam Comp 212/216 .557/.561 114 lsa w/spings and all. 2800 lock up stall, vette servo. I am also putting in a Tru trac LSD, and 3.73. And swapping to billit 20's Any idea what kinda time i could drop down too?

Not far from what I would expect. My truck ran a 16.43 @ 87 bone stock, with stock 16's, 5.3, and 3.73 gears. Your times aren't too bad considering the gearing, wheels, and smaller engine. That cam, converter, and gears will really wake your truck up.

Nothing to be embarrased about. The big heavy wheels and tall gearing is killing you. What is your overall tire diameter going to be? With stock 31.7" tires I could not best 15.03!

The overall hight on the 22 is 32.8 and the new ones with the 20's are going to be right at 29"
Hopefully by Dec I will have a front mount turbo to help me along.

going to a 29" tire with lighter wheels will make a huge difference, do you know the weight of the 22's, i would guess close to 100lbs a piece with tires

Odd... I ran a full second quicker at the same mph and we have identical trucks... Well, except for the color, and the turbo, and the 403...

That's not bad considering your mods and gear with that engine. At least you got to use all of first gear.
