Default Just curious

Since my turbo truck was wrecked, and in the process of building that project back, I would like to run my new daily on sunday and see how it does. Its a 07 nnbs scsb 5.3, dod delete, cam, long tubes, cat delete, dual magnaflows, 4.10 gears, built 60E with a precision 3k stall and tune. Im going to bolt the racestars on it off my turbo truck with the M&Hs. I hope it will break 13's but not sure. This thing seems like a damn pig wieght wise compared to the 99-06 single cabs, its like driving my old 05 crew cab again lol. I bought the truck with the work done already, the man who had it didnt know what size the cam was but sounds pretty healthy, wish I knew.

Any ideas on what these newer trucks are running? I know the heads were off of it and one time, and the owner thought it had some head work done when the cam was done. he had shop do it back in 09. I called them and they couldnt remember the cam specs, but though the heads were sent out to PRC to have some work done.

I think it should get into the 13s. Just my opinion though.

My 4.8 with a 220 and basically the same setup as yours runs 14.5 on street tires with a shitty 2.2 60ft. With slicks/radials it should drop some just dont know how much.

That's not terrible but I thought it would do a little better to be honest. Still an awesome truck though.

Thanks, i thought so too, I really think it needs more converter, or a shorter tire. I ran the M&H 390s, which are about 29.5" tall, and the converter is 2800-3000. I had no tire spin but on the 1-2 shift, and that was just a chirp. I dont think it would have 60fted any better. It is fully loaded with leather, bed cover, bed rug, all power, onstar, turn signal mirrors etc, and feels like a pig too.

Heres how it sounds, like I said, I dont know the cam specs, but it sounds pretty healthy, I think it needs more converter and gear.
