Whatever the case is, someway somehow you probably need to get some low end back. The bogging you experienced after launch was probably the lack of power down low.

I would first try to work with the cam. Degreeing seems like the first logical step and work through it with Rick. The power is there, just need to make the most of it.

Another option would be a bigger stall, but I dont think you want that. Some type of power adder would help, but that cost a lot of $$$.

He said his truck was shifting into third.

I talked to Bill today and we have a lot of it figured out.

#1 His truck is shifting into 3rd right near the end of the 1/4 which as we know KILLS your ET and can drop a bit of MPH.

Cure: Run it out in 2nd gear

#2 His truck is a pig and weighs a lot more than most of us who ran 96+mph N/A. His truck is likely 400+lbs heavier than mine was when I ran my 96.8mph. Not to mention I'm a slim bastard at 165lbs vs him at 240lbs. We also need to check the weight and diameter of his wheels aqnd see if rotating mass and/or a lose of final drive ratio is hurting him.

Cure: Weigh the truck so we know how much MPH he is losing due to weight. Then do weight reduction or just calulate the extra MPH in to make him feel better about a portly truck.

#3 His cam lost him some low end TQ which we are all aware of so.

Like Jason said, advancing the cam a couple degrees should bring him back in line with the stall. At the very worst he can choose a new cam but that would be a last resort. I ran very respectable times with the 226/.535/112 and the same exact stall so it can and has been done by others on the board.

There is no way around his heavy truck I like ot run my truck in street trim. Weight reduction IMO is cheating as far as real world times go. When you run someone on the street you have everything in the truck. F8L yo uare dead on with what you posted. I think his larger tires are killing him too more than we may be factoring into the equation. Trevert you have a heavy truck man no way around it. With a few small changes your truck can be running very well.

You ran the same times as I did and what are the differences in mods? your cam.

You deffinatly should be cutting a 2.0 60' and a mid 14 second pass.

Hope you everything worked out man.

A good 60' and holding second may work wonders for him. A little weight reduction might helps as well.
