Well sure enough I went to go return some of the tools I rented and the damn thing would barely start. Backed it up 3 feet and it died
So I just stuck the stock fuel lq4 tune in there. Just wasn't gonna work on the open loop sd tune for the stock cam. It's enough to get me to and from work this week until I get a chance to tune it. Anyways, it chugs along, only thing is my torque converter isn't locking up properly in 4th. You get on the highway and you really gotta get on it at like 70 mph for it to lock up. I added half a quart of ATF and it didn't seem to help. Just adding the rest of the quart so we will see if that helps. Didn't really think I lost that much trans fluid when I disconnected the lines and pulled the radiator, so this is odd. Anyone have any thoughts? No changes to the lockup part of the tune.

Dammit Scott what the hell do you want me to post up? lol. I can't even get on it because it's untuned and still running the stock injectors. BTW, now I can see how that untuned 228R in your 5.3 must have been hell.

We want idle vids haha, at least give us something!
And ya it sucked real bad. The first start up is always easy, no matter what size cam you put in for some reason. But as soon as the computer realizes something is up, it ***** all over itself.
Hell I still have stalling problems sometimes, and 90% of the time trying to park it wants to stall out.

Sounds like you got pretty good gains before the cam swap. im sure it will run better now. hell, i only gained 2 tenths from a cam/converter swap. my 60' never improved from toyos/stock converter to et streets/3200 stall....

She's alive. Started up one the first try and idles perfect. This thing idles basically just like stock. Only noticeable difference is the louder valvetrain. Cam swap so easy a caveman can do it. Just gotta have the right tools!
I'll tune part throttle now, but no WOT until I can get the injectors in.

Cool on the 1st crank. But then...
As to how this went from a Drag thread on runnin 13's into a cam swap thread, prolly shoulda done a new thread on cam swap like ~8 pgs. ago. Cause, it's grown a bit. Some good info in here on what to do & ... not.
