My buddy with my same exact truck (2007 SD classic) managed a 14.0x with the GT2-3, an intake, corsa cat back/cut out, and a westers tune on a good night. I'd say thats pretty impressive. Not sure what the corrected time would have been though.
What is your best time with that set up?

It's funny. I've done some digging around and I can fidn a lot of old threads abotu this converter going into a SSS and how people recommend it... but none ofo them show any results. Crazy how new products hit the market and peoples opinions change. Gotta love progress

I would guess being so mild you would want to keep rpms low and drop the hammer. Every set up is different but it seems most commonly stock/or low stall speed converters are best if you brake stall to 800-1200 and let it flash when the light goes green.
There is no way to find out other then try but that is how I would start. Please make sure to update this thread because I may look into this as a cheap option for my Tahoe.

Alright guys I made it to the track. Weather was pretty good, but no where near what I've seen running in NH before. DA was slightly negative, maybe -200 or so. I've run before when it was about -1200. Corrected times were no different.
Basically I ran a new best of 13.71 coming from a 13.85. Corrected times this was an improvement of .3. Only differences were the converter and I removed my side steps. I also didnt even have a chance to retune for the converter. I'd say this gave me an increase of just about .25 all things considered. I ran a best 60' time of 2.03 and I know I can get that below 2.00. I only got 3 runs in so I didnt have a chance to really play with it.
I think the combination of getting a retune, and vette servo's could make this mod worth while. Clearly there is a lot left on the table, but this is nothing to sneeze at by any means.
When I'm running a 13.3x over 100 MPH in my heavy *** crew 4x4 on this converter and a set of 243 heads I'll have you all turning your heads... haha

Thats gonna be awesome Andy. I just moved on some PRC stage 1 243's which should give me a nice bump across the rev range. They will jack up compression to LS2 levels to help off idle, and they'll give me more flow from the worked intake/exhaust ports. I still have a lot of weight to lose and my tune wasnt dialed in for these runs. If I'm not running a 13.4 or BETTER by next fall I'll be dissappointed. Thats awesome for this converter. I expect better numbers if I get my hands on the 80e and can get a good converter.
