Default I guess I've hit a wall as it sits now...

best (back in March '07): 13.592 @ 99.18 @ 4930# w/ 1.96 60ft

since then:
much larger FMIC...
26" DR to 28x10.5 slicks
4930 lbs to 4905

yesterday:
best 60ft: 2.10...no spinning or wheelhop as before though
best 1/4: 13.71
highest mph: 98.80

I really want to break into the 12's with stock motor and tranny...
I have an FLT Level 4 and a new converter waiting to go in...just wanted to meet this goal before installing...

Maybe I'm just asking too much from a 209k mile stock set-up...

well...I am...

it was a little warmer yesterday than in March and I know that the taller tires prolly hurt my mph...but I was REALLY expecting better 60ft times...
I just don't think that I'm getting the weight transfer I need...and the weight I lost was in the rear, so that didn't help any...
I have Cal-Tracs that I've never installed as well...I don't know if they would help at this point...considering the the slicks eliminated the wheel hop...

Alot of people swear by cal-tracs. If I had to add traction bars that's what I would run. They kinda turn your weight transfer into forward momentum. Front end doesn't lift as much, or as long with them from what people tell me. The weather yesterday was not that good at all, the DA was anywhere from 1100-1400'. Knock off roughly 2/10's for the DAC time.

I know this sounds crazy, but...I bought a stainless mesh filter, supposedly "track use only" and ran it Sunday...it's supposed to flow more than a paper or cotton filter...
I usually run 10+ lbs of boost...I was topping out at 8 lbs Sunday...
I switched back to the DryFlow for the ride home...nailed it and hit 10+ again...
I don't why I didn't think of that Sunday so I could've just swapped filters to see if it made a difference...I didn't think about it until this afternoon...
I'm gonna make a few WOT runs tomorrow morning or tomorrow evening when the air is cooler...swapping the filter in between runs and see if it makes a difference...
The last time my boost wasn't peaking, it was the by-pass valve...but it was working Sunday...if it was this damn ricer looking filter, I'm gonna kick my own ***!

well...on Black Friday I made a couple WOT stabs, changing the filters between...
both runs netted 10+ lbs
could the DA noted above by Heath make a 3-5 lb difference in boost?

A better 60' and good weather would probably get you to the 13.2-13.4's. Do you spin off the line?

not now with the slicks I don't...
I just read another thread on another site that stated that the DA was 1900 at that track, that afternoon...

Do you have a stock converter? If not, then your 60's suck! I'd really concentrate on those. Get the caltracs on and try to get your 60's in the 1.7's. You'll be knocking on the door of the 12's, but IMO you don't have enough mph to get there. 99mph would probably get you a 13.3 at best. Have you ever seen a higher mph?

TB verter, stock tranny...
I was going to install the Cal-Tracs before I got the 15" wheels and slicks, but my wheel hop and spinning is gone now...will the Cal-tracs still benefit my 60 ft?
I've never seen a higher mph in the 1/4...
