How to get into the 13's
#1
Hey guys! Went to New England Dragway on wednesday and ran my new best of 14.074 at 97.03mph. I plan on going up again next wednesday for the last time and really want to get into the 13's. I have a 2007 Sierra Denali Classic with a 6.0. Mods are: corsa exhaust, volant air box w/ filter(no tube), westers tune, gt2-3 cam, ls6 springs, and vette servos. I ran it without the headlight, on my stock 20's, 93 octane almost on empty, no tailgate, no trailer assembly, leather tonneau on, no spare tire, took out my subs, and it was about 45 degrees. What else can I do to get into the 13's. Spark plugs? Racing fuel? Take out the back seat? Please let me know anything you can think of.

Can you find some smaller wheels to run on? Have about 1/4 tank, less is very hard on the fuel pump. Take out as much weight as you can, seats and spare alone should do it. Good luck!! Report back!

put some smaller wheels/tires on it, like stock 16" or 17" and you will be mid 13's no problem.
20's are heavy as fuch, and rolling mass kills acceleration. 20" rim/tire = 100+lbs each

Is it just me or is he blazing for the amount of mods he's done. Essentially his mods effecting the time is the cam, tune, and CAI. I'm pretty sure sierra denali's all came with 4.10s, but those 20s really gotta be slowing him down!
