So I finally got on the track after the shoot out. I was pleasantly surprised at the truck I ran a 9.9 with a 2.3 60. Then ran a 10.1 with a 2.5 60. I don't know the mph cause the far lane didn't give one. I figure with a little practice I could get 9.50 or so. Not bad for a basically stock truck.

 

How is practice going to drop .4 off your 1/8th? Was it spinning, is it a stick? If those two aren't part of the equation you won't drop .4 off your time without mods generaly.

Times are respectable. What motor do you have?

 

I have a 5.3, I spun the alittle the second time. That and I didn't take any air out of the tires in the back. I'm saving for headers, Im going to try and work my 60" time.

 

I may not drop .4 but they can't do anything but get better with practice.

 

That is true. Most people have un-realistic expectations and that was the point I was making.

Best way to improve your 60 would be a mild converter. Are you trying to make this truck fast or just trying to see how fast it is?

What are your goals?

 

Just semi quick, no big goals surprise some cars around town. I have things I'd love to do to it but don't have the cash.
