not to jack my own thread but i threw in a low mileage g80 that i bought off a member on here, its got about 60k on it now(bought with 55). our dragstrip is having a local deal all day racing for 30 bucks and i was thinking about running the truck again. the only thing that scares me is ive still got a g80. should it be alright making a few passes or do you think the same exact thing will happen as last time? im dying to race but damn afraid of blowing up my truck again

thanks man its much appreciated! and no **** lol? ive been up there these past weekends too went to kots and the rsd's. and if all goes planned were gonna be hitting the grove sunday morning. if i get past the fear of grenading this thing again im probably gonna go make a few passes

 

Did you run your truck at rsd? I was there i made one hit and parked the truck trying to find a race but i guess people are afraid of silverado on slicks and little bit of nitrous.

 

i was at the rsd's but my truck wasnt ran that night, i do remember standing next to your truck though. my buddy greg had his tbss in the staging lanes and same with my buddy pete with the lightning heard your truck turn on and she definitley sounded healthy n boogied! and alot of people around here are afraid of trucks...let alone their own shadows lol

as for goin to the track this time i made 12 passes, still on my garbage tune some hot air and a strong headwind that lost me 3mph through the traps. time was the same as last time with full weight and a passanger and still no traction

but on the bright side i did manage to put a little bit of butthurt on a ls1 vette...till he passed me in the 1/8th lol

 

almost forgot since i didnt race on rsd's one of the diesel guys that was running their mouth showed up to the track to run me in his cummins. mods were a 4in dp, 5in pipe with no cat, banks muffler, some intake tube, cold air intake tune was edge juice with attitude turned all the way up. unfortunitley the only decent launch i made all day with a **** time of 14.9, full weight big crosswind and a passanger to record the butthurt
